Mandra

A warrior race that look like humanoid lizards. They lost their home-world a long time ago.
In the past the Mandra attacked various planets and poisoned their water with the help of chemicals to neutralize hydrogen.
Because of a missing enzyme the lizard-men can't consume hydrogen, making it impossible to drink pure water.
Despite the peace contract most people can't trust the Mandra.

The Mandra are a bulky folk with a lizard tail and scales.

This race prefers to live in warmer regions.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Mandra need to eat two up to four kilos of meat every day. For them, it is irrelevant if the meat is raw or cooked.

Biological Cycle

Once a year they shatter all their scales. The Mandra pull back for a whole month until they grew back.

History

Centuries ago the Mandra lived on the vulcanic planet Yuyar.
Unfortunately the planet was destroyed by simultaneous eruptions that killed almost a third of the population of Yuyar.
The Survivors escaped to space in search for a new home.
Through the years the Mandra landed an various planets like Kli'Roa and started to poison the water to be able to drink it.
Because of their warrior-nature the Mandra always ended in a war with the inhabitants.
