Avius
The bird-like humanoid race and self-proclaimed "Keeper of Fennix".
They didn't discover Fennix first, but the Avius are the most powerful wielders of said power in the universe.
Their ancestors once were able to fly with their wing-like arms. Unfortunately the wings degenerated and they focused on Fennix and technologie.
Five centuries ago, their home-world was attacked by the Mandra. The Avius pushed them back succesfully but with a high cost: The planet was contaminated by over 20%.

Thousand of year ago the Avius were able to fly.
Because of the stronger growing gravity of their planet Kli'Roa, their wings degenerated.
The bird-men ventured into space and landed on a nearby planet and encountered the beast-men Cyten.
The Cyten tought the Avius how to work Fennix. The bird-men were so impressed by this kind of magic, that they decided to learn every part of it.
