Modrons

Modrons are a race of Automatas from the plane of Mechanus. While they primarily remain within their home plane, there have been a few times when they visited the material plane.

Description

The appearances of modrons are varied and seem to reflect their rank within their caste system. Generally their form is a geometric shape with a fixed number of sides and level of complexity representing their position, such as the spherical monodrones and starfish-shaped pentadrones.

Personalities

All known modrons followed the laws of their society with absolute conformity and predictability. They seem to have no emotions nor any drive toward personal pursuits. A modron's will is not its own as its intentions are always defined by a modron of a higher rank.

Caste System

There are several castes of modrons, five of which have been identified. There are certainly more castes with higher rank, but information on them has yet to be acquired.
