The Bright

The Bright is the uppermost level of Ghet, populated by opulent penthouses and executive corporate offices. It is the closest to the sun, and has the freshest sweetest air to be found in the city, and anything you can imagine can be had for a price in The Bright, however only those of The Bright can afford it.

Common and Elvish spar for dominance as the primary language of The Bright. The language spoken in a conversation or written missive is determined by the preferred language of the individual or group with the higher social standing. Casual conversations between peers may have the individuals involved speaking their own preferred tongue, while actual interpreters are commonly employed in more formal circumstances when neither party is willing to concede to a slightly lower social standing.

Despite all of its opulence, The Bright is a very dangerous place. Not the stab-you-in-the-kidneys-for-cheating-at-cards type danger, but the have-my-private-security-escort-you-off-the-edge-of-my-building-for-not-showing-the proper-respect type danger.

And the Eyes of Ghet don't come to The Bright, for it is governed by privilege - meaning, of course, private law. Each and every individual, family, corporation or organization in The Bright maintains their own private security. Step carefully in The Bright, if at all.
