Downtown

The hardworking residents of Downtown, and those that prey on them, live their lives in the gray elevations between The Clouds and The Gloom. Many struggle their entire lives to make it to The Clouds, but the sad majority rarely rise more than a few levels from where they were born.

While Common is the primary language for much of Downtown, in the lower reaches of Downtown - closer to The Gloom - a creole of Common and Undercommon is the most common method of communication.
