Lundy serves as something of a no-man's land. While the northern parts of the continent are technically part of the Surathin Empire, the Iron Citadel is the unofficial 'governing' body in the region. Thus, Lundy, being the only route across the straights operates as a 'diplomatic' port town. Locals claim that the diplomats from Lundy are just as eloquent as the point of a knife and with cutting wit to match. Possibly due in fact to the rumored presence of a striving thieves guild that takes advantage of the grey area of the empire. Originally a sand bar upon the Straights of Pantern, the deep currents and presence of underwater monsters lead to the hastily constructed port town that is Lundy. At one point, Lundy was a hub for trading and a destination for rare goods. Bosting two lighthouses, a large harbor and ample room for growth, the boom of Lundy lasted about 40 years. After that, the Iron Citadel and Surathin Empire began to have strained relations as their ideals started to diverge. Now, Lundy is little more than a collection of shacks, loosely held together by broken dreams and seagull droppings.
