The Lady Within

An amalgamation of souls bound into an artificial god and a living miracle, the Lady Within is a ever-shifting being of darkness and the cold created deep below Velik in the event now known as the Harrowing.
The Lady Within is represented by mutiple aspects and forms, having taken the reigning satrap and his family as the basis of her profane form. Her most common worldly representation is that of an imperious faceless woman, clad in sweeping robes and wreathed by strands of living Myconicete, twitching with the terrible power unearthed in Velik.
Knowledge of the Lady Within is tightly controlled by the Ocemi Legions that keep a cordon around Velik's borders, and the mere mention of another god's existence is considered a crime worthy of the pyre by the Church of Sol Imperii.
Though as with many deities, the Lady Within's psychopomps have constructed an extensive dogma and religion, the core ideal of her faith is single-minded - that of vengeance against the Ocemi who harrowed her people, and the toppling of Sol Imperii as the god of Cyros. Through any means possible, it is the supreme divine will of the Lady Within that her tattered banners come to fly over Great Ocem's smoking ruins.
