The Groats

The "Groats" are Roeswerp's fertile farmlands, situated around the north-eastern edge of the settlement. 
A green and pleasant land, generally shielded from the woes of the Kahnwold by the military due to the importance of their produce, the Groats are largely settled by a class of wealthy land-owning landlords and their workers. It is said that several minor noble houses were able to resettle there, after the fall of Kahnstadt.
The Groats are named after hulled grain, with wheat being the most common crop grown there.
