Adventure Journal #3

Before we left the town of Kaarst a town guard told us the village leader wanted to speak to us. Having nothing better to do we went to one of those big fancy buildings I really wanted to explore. We didn't get to explore it much, but we met the leader and he gave us a job! We were supposed to take some information Romelus and Remi got a while ago and take it to a new town somewhere far away. In order to help us on our travels the leader hired two men to take us there by boat. These two were really strange individuals let me tell you. One of them knew druidic magic and the other was made of water! I mistook him for a water spirit (which was really embarrassing!!!). Well the water man kept making jokes about water but I didn't understand half of them because he spoke them in common. While I was sleeping below the ships deck that night Romelus woke us up because he found the Gnoll we were originally hunting. We fought the Gnoll on land and I'm also embarrassed to say that I hit Romelus with a vine whip while trying to catch the Gnoll. When we got into town with the Gnoll all tied up the villagers were very rude to us as we walked around. Nothing too special happened that day except for this strange man who kept asking me questions about myself. I was too shy to say anything and he only spoke in common so I had trouble communicating. Thses past couple days haven't been very good for me...

Adventure Journal #2

After a good nights rest we woke up bright and way too early and got busy. I went to all my Firbolg friends to get them to take care of my cabin while I was gone but nobody would take it from me. Eventually Val was nice enough to take it while I was gone. He's so nice! Later that day Romelus and Remi wanted to talk to the spirit in the tree from yesterday after we got driven off. I kept telling them that the spirit didn't want to be disturbed, but they're so damn stubborn when they set their minds to something.   So we went to the forest again and Romelus keeps telling me a talking bear wants me to meet him. I tried to explain that bears have their own language that only they and druids can understand. I thought he was a druid at first, but that bear really was trying to speak in common. He spoke worse than me! He told me in druidic that the spirit wanted to talk to me. Me! I guess people here really like me. The bear led me into the woods and to this puddle. I saw a person in the puddle who offered me a̟͚ͥ̈́ͫ̾́ͫn̛̻̺͓̝̮̯̋͋ͨ̃́̉ ̴͉̲͙̼̙̤̌̃o̤͚͉ͬ̐r̭̳̪̒̀͂͊ͦâ̫͑̃ͪ́n̦̖͍͂ͬ̂̊̌̃g̼̰͔̩̎e̺̗ͧͩ̊͌ͨ.̽̉ͪͭ҉̯̖ͅ ̞͈ͬ̈͑ͬ̽̓͊O͚͍̭̍f̷̗̙̥ͩ̿̔̓͛ͨ ̲̗̮̞̫͕̆̊ͨͮ͐́c̩̠̻̬̘̭ͧ̓̔̋́̐̒̕o̯̜͖̩̅̐͊̌͒͘ụ̯͑ͥ̓ͥr̜̟͈͉̽̀͝s̫͙͉̦͖͆́ḛͭͦ̾ͤ͢ ̶͎̟̙̠̤̩͖̾͊͒I͍̗͈͈ͯͦ͡ ͕͇̤͔̥̈́ͭ͝t̶̘͍̝̆̆͌o͚̣̯̘̺̪̪͆͋̕ö̱̤̙̺́ͭ̋́̋k̄ͩ́̿̍ͤ̇ ̥̱͊ͨ̾̀̚i̲̝̫ͬ̾̽͒̑ͭ͑ẗ̵ ̢̻̣ͯ̈̓a̜̠͇͉̳͖͍ñ͚̮̚d͇̗̰̪̬̤͚ͯ̓̎̂̐̂ ̶̲̠̝̝͇̇ͥͅͅt̶̠̯ͮ̓̓̂ͮ̒ḧ̠̳͓̞́̿ͮaň̶̬̩̖̣͛̓̂͊͒̚k̫ͪ̓̓̽̽̐̈́͢e̜͔̫ḓ̞͉̬̽͐́ ̇̄̊̈̎t̘̺̗̯̬͟h͚̹̻͉̖̝̮ͭ̄̅̒̂͞e̡̥ͤ̃̉̒̅͛ͮm̦͓̆͟,̣̮̜̮̣̯̯̅̑̿͡ ̌͌ͦ͊̕b̺̪̖̳͖̞͡ͅȕ̧̦͓͎̝̝̻̗͆͌t͖̯͓̮̘̖̿ͨͫ̿̓͊ͬ ͉̋͊̽͛ͥ̀̽Í͍̜̹͋͒ͩ ̨̼̣̰̲͓̞̋ͥͧ̃̀ͮ͗l͚̟̰̯̠̍ͯ́e̖͈a̹̰̭̮̟͈̓̍͊ȓ̵̹n̜ͯͦe̗ͧ͛́̅̿̌d̛̮̐ͤ̄ͦ̌ t̲̗̗̽̍͒ͣ̎h͍̞͖̺͓̱̣ͯẹ̰͖͈̼̻͜ ͕o̼̬̽̅ͬ͆͒̿̀͜ͅr̪̺͐̌ͮͦ̔ͣ̄ͅa͎̦͓̩̹̪ͤ̚̕n̯̯̺̝̻͚̔ġ̣͔̩̣̰̿̉ͤ̚͘e̫̼̯̦̦̤͖̍ͬ̌̆̒̚ ̙̰͇̹̩̪̓ͧ͌ͨ̑̕w̳̻̗̻̰̥̔͂̌̐a͉̗̯̺̼̹ͫ̋ͨ̃̄̃s̸͂ͅ ̺͔͖̫͚͓̊̊́ͭ͆̉̚͝h̜̝̦̽̈̈͑̈́ͭ͝e̩̗̞̖̍͑a̫̻͒ͫ͛ṿ̼͕̟̤͎̋̈̋i̱͇͍͉l̢͚̬͕̬̃ͩͨy͇̱͍͓̠͛ ͑́ḋ̼͙̤͕̰̮́́̎̌ͅoͤ̾̒ͮ̍̚͢s̨̥̦͓e̠̬ͥd̜̫ ̠͓̝̗̖̪̤ỉ͋ͨ̃̐n̜̲͖̺̫̋̈̂̍̕ ̰͕̫͑͗ͩ͊ͮlͫ͏i͇̣͍̙͠f̻̦̝͉̫̓̓ͬͦe͓ͣ̑̏ ̯̙͌ͫ̐̾̽̚m̹̻͂̐ͨ̉͑ͮ͘a̋̃͆͜g̡̺̃ḭ̼̩͝c͕̼̥ ͎͉̫͆̐̉̔a̱͓̠̫͌ͣ̐̒͆̂̕ṅ̮̙̺͎̻̟̲̌͋ͮͮ̚d̨̰ͫ ̧͚̲͇̝̋̐͑̽̓m̸̜͈͓͓a̸̖d̔͐̆ͩ͏̙͇̻̙͓̦e̔͑̀ ̴̦̱̟͚̠͚̣͗̈m̶̂ͦe̾ͪͮ ̮͙̳̰̻͋ͫͫͮͅs̲͖̘̽͑e͕̩̞̿͐̑̍̎̑̆̀ě͉̟̘̝̺̻̭͒͝ ͙͉͖̰̭̭̄͑̑ͧ̚̚̕t̑̾̈͌͛̊͏h͎̱̑̏̎̅̍̉ͧ̀i̊̐͗̐ͭ̚҉̦̭̹̙͈͍̝n͖̼͔̤g̷̤͎̬̬ͫͅs͔̤͂̃̿ͬ̃̾͌.̺͎̙͕̯̘͆ͮ͋̓ͬͮ͂ ̷̺̿ͭͪͧ͐ͪ̑Ẅ̯̿̔͊̒ḧ͇͍̟̠̦̬́ͥ͆̐ͭͤḙ̼͍̮̇̆̚ͅn̡̹͈̘̝̫̒͆́̓ͨ ͥ̏͊̀Ḯͦͩͧͮ͗͑̕ ̻ͩ̌͌ͫͮm͕̖̺͟ͅe̡̝t͚̰̖̟̘̞̓̏͐ͪ̆̿ ̰͖͓̇ͫ̄͑́t̛̍̈̃ͭ̋͑̚h̭͇͔̋̅ͣ̋e̮͙ ̵͕͈ͥ͗l͔̺͍̻͈̩̽̓̒͌a̼̙̯͇̦͐̊ͤd͕ͮͧͫ̓̐̓ͦ͠y̵̱͎͑̈ͥ̆̅ͥ͊ ̛̼̝̰̞̩͇̉͐ͨͦi̢̺̺ͤͮ̓ͩ̿n̡̠͗̆̄̌̊̔̃ ̴̟͕͓̓ṯ̷̥͙̐ḧ̞̙̬̳̲́͗̑̆̑e ̩̣̦̭̻͉ͫ̎f̓̉̾̌͐̐ͯo͉̣͖̙̰ͨ̌̎͒ͣ̋̕ȑ̷̬̱̙͗ͫ̍̏e̜̼̝̭͉̝s̱̲͎͐t̲̮̳͇̲̤̥̽͘s̢͔̥͇̬͚͈̗̚ ͓̰͆ͬ͠d͕͙̩͚͙̼͚̍̍́͠a̔́ű͗̋̈̚͏g̰̭̔ͬ͐̊ͪͣ̚h̝̭̱̜͕̉ͧ͋̓͒ͥt̘͈̱̯͕͇̓͋͛̋ë̩͍̗̤́̏̀͗͐ͅr̯̘̫͕͓͆͛̔͋ͩ̈͒̕ ̴̼̝̻̩͓͐̊̄ͧI ̡ͧͦ̓̎̎̓w̳͈͍̠̳̼̳ͥ͋̉͂͗̓̃a̱ͨͧ͋̾ͬṣ̪͓̖́ͣͦͩͅ ̤́s͔͓̱̯͝ḭ̵̖̣͇̜̊̐ͪ̇m̫͗ͣ́̈ͨ̚pͥ͗̆͋̓́l͓͕̐̏ͣy̢̭ͭ̆̓ͮ ̧̖̼̻̣̟͎̂ͤͭ̏ā̴̟̠̰̯͛͐̅̃̽m̻͙̃̀̐ͫͧͣ͂̀a̤͙̤ͭ̋̓ͥ̌ͥ́ͅz̭͙͔͍̤̥͚̉̈̏͟e͈̰̥͔͔d͙͉͓͉̪̲̃̾ ͙̥ͩ͗ͫͅb̙̲̼̝̪͖ỷ̘̘̭̩ͮ̒̊̇̐ ͇̟ͦ̊̂ͣ̂ͬh͓̼͋́ĕ̛̮̰͔̝̼̲͖ͯr̃͊̈̉̈ ̎̋̒͛͏̯͈͈b̘̬̹͎̯e͈̥̗̙͍̅͂̑ͧạ͍͈̥̳̪̼ͦͪ͊̒̓ͭ͛u̦t̺ͮͩ͘y̲͇̬̙̞̠ͩ̃̆̏͞.̥͔̦̱̜̉̓͂̀̇ͅ ̩͎͎͉͕ͨ̏ͩS̹͚͈̭̏̾̽̓͐̊͗h͎̙̥͗ͦ͠e̩̳̫ ̙͔͔͈̮ͯ̉̈̔̚ͅt̯̬̊̇ͨ̂̋̀͋͡o͇̥̥͞ḽ̝̪̹̩͐̄̌̒d͛̇̄ͦ͊̑͗҉̠ ̪̤͈̫͇́m͇̤̝͎ͥ́e̎̚ ̪̯̣̹̽̚h̭̿̃̎̂oͫ͋҉̥̖̪͚̟̤͚w̵͎̰͎͎̭͛͒ͭ̄ͬ ̱̠̲̬̪͊͗ͦͨg͚͔̎ͮ̐͠o͍ͯ͋ͬ̑̚͡ȏ̓̀ͧ͛ͯ҉̲̥͉̙ͅd͓̠̟̊ͬ̂̀̈ͬ ̰͖̿̀a̦̻̟̗͒ͧͨ̆͆ ̥̞ͮ̔̆ͩ̿̌͠j̛͙̺͕̼̀ͫ̏̔͛ͧo͉̤͍̯̫̠̩͛̋ḅ̵̙̘̥̍̃̾̐ͦͅ ̣͎̳̣̓͒̿͌Ǐ̫̮̪̟̠ͥ ͔̘͔͛ͭͧ̾ͣ̆̄͡ẅ͌͏̖͖͔̮̲̼a̝͓̱̜͓̦̐̔̇̀̚ŝ̢̮̠͓͗͛͌ ̳ͤ̈̓ͫ̚͜d̲̠̥̗ͩ̾̋͗̈̔̂o͛̈́̓̊̄̐̉͏͓͚̫ị̱̯͖̘͉̞͂̿ͧ̒̔̓̚n̰̳g̻͙̱̻͙ͣ̓͠ ̍͒͏̳̟̖a̧͙̤̞̺n̪̤͍̤͙̔̐̚d̵̺̣̻̙̰̼̮̆̒̾̏͌̽̚ ̟̜̈́͐͆͡g̙̉̇̏ͯ̎̈́ȃ̟̻̥̠̘̯͔ͥ̏͂̽͂v̝͉ͬ͂̄͛e̮̯̺̟̪͐̄ͅ ̖̣̩̦̈́͞m͓̓ͣ̾̏̚͜e̬͋ͪ ̝̜̫͚̭̺͍ͣ̍̈͌a̘̬̽͂̐͆̔ͬ̑ ̼͐͊̓̈́̋̌ͤm̘̼͕̱̏̽̉̍̉̔ͅå̟͙ͩͣ̃̎̃̚͡g͚͍̲̤̯̲iͦ͂̆̏ͪ͂̚͏c͋͗ͯ͘ ̮̩͔̗̕r̗͍̼̪̍̅ͅͅị̟̩̬̬̹̣͑͌̉͘n̵̝̦̪̦͍̱̆ͯ̓͂͆́ͮͅgͪ̾̄͏̻ ͔̣̦̱̓͞ͅt̼ͮ̊̚͜ó̫̞͍̪͖̤͊ͥ ̈́̎̐ċ̖͍̬̼͖̒͌o̴ͥ̉n͓͉͕̘̰ͮ͆͞t̷̩̗̝̗̊ͥͬ̀̍̾ͩa͉̲͔͇ͨ̌̉c̩̒ṭ͔͕ͪ̃͑̂̋̐̉͞ ̪͛̎̾̆̑́h̷̀e͍͍ͅr̶͕̗͈̩̘̉ ̥ͬw̤ͮ̒̊̈́̈́̚i̳͑̈ͣ̀̃̿͂͘ṱ̙͈͈̋ͧ̏h̘̥͕͈͉͇̱ͭ̍͌̿͊̇.̵̝̺͈̮̿͌   I've never been so nervous in my entire life.   We finally got out of Cottbus and followed the river to Kaarst. We got to use my families maps that I brought from my homeland. The other two weren't impressed and said they were too ancient to use, but I explained that we could rewrite the maps for our own use like my ancestors did. Before we got into town we met a group of mercenaries who all seemed interested in me. In fact, everyone I met in town was interested in me. Especially those mean children who called me all sorts of terrible names. Before we left town Romelus got us all a job and I think Remi stole from a school. Remi really wanted to do something involving a war and Romelus wanted to find the big dog out in the woods. They argued about it for a while before we set off.

Adventure Journal #1

Note: Written entirely in Draconic   Today was amazing! I woke up today expecting to have my usual Friday of working and then playing at the The Cottbus in the evening. As I was walking outside, I noticed some new strangers outside asking for a doctor. The man (who I later learned was named Remi) had broken his leg in some mysterious accident. Of course I took them to Hamish who had just woken up like me, but he patched the man up just fine. The other man (his name is Romelus) looked amazing! He was very tall and wore shiny armor. The only people I've seen who wear armor like that were the emperors guards. I decided to give them the tour of Cottbus that I never get to give anyone because nobody visits this town. When we got to the general store they scared poor Val half to death by dropping a bunch of wolf pelts on his counter! Don't they know how to act around Firbolg? Anyways, that's when I learned they were attacked by wolves on the way here. It also explains why they were keeping those wolf cubs on them. Maybe there is hope for them after all?   I went to The Cottbus that evening and played for the usual folk. Near the end of my performance I spotted those two weirdo's again and decided to follow them. We were tasked by Donald (The lonely guy who lives on the edge of the village) to cut down a very large tree at the top of the hill. It was that same tree I get spiritual vibes from. I later discovered that it was housing the spirit of a Daughter of The Lady of the Forest and that if the tree gets cut down then the whole forest dies with it! Romelus was running past me just in time for me to tell him. We ran to Donald's house and met up with Remi to tell everyone. Donald didn't believe in nature spirits even though we live in a village with dozens of druids, so I used my powers to show him they exist. He got real tight lipped and promised not to log that big tree. I helped the two adventurers with some stuff after that, but the important part is that I got invited to go adventuring with them! I might come back to Cottbus someday and settle down if I feel like it, but my heart has always sought adventure. I've got these nice maps that can help us get to where those guys want to go, they're family heirlooms made by my ancestors when they traveled to this land during the war.
