Marks
Albion's primary currency
Early History
Originally, various clans established sea shells as the primary currency, due to their mysterious nature and yet unknown origin. Living in fear of the ocean, sea shells were a token of bravery that the early men and women would wear around their necks. The bravest of warriors had large collections of shells that they hoarded, and soon were trading for tools, cattle, food, etc. Some early accounts, such as records in early Mair, hinted that the people believed the shells would protect them from the ones of sídhe, however some historians disagree.
