Strealis

Strealis is a broken world. Scarred after the Swamp Elves desiccated the Dwarven Empire of Dol'gar with cataclysmic weather magic five hundred years ago, the land is in a dark age of magic and knowledge. Humans fight among themselves in the high and low lands, raiding coastlines and sailing great lakes to contest the slightest border offense. The Mountain Elves are broken into three houses: Eagle, Hawk, and Crow. Each claim to be the Original Lineage and ride great Wyverns from their forested mountains to war over that title. Duri'ak, Dragon's Roar in the human tongue, is the last bastion of the Dwarves. Nestled in The Skyreach mountains it has been sealed for the last three hundred years, its entrance long forgotten by man. In the southeast Goliath tribes roam the Jengo continent, dominated by the Wian Du Plains, and Stiaan Mountains. They pride themselves on their hybrid beasts: Ostrich-hippos, Lion-weavers, and Elephant-vultures being the most prized relics from some long dead mage. Orcs wage endless war in the Ashlands of the Northwest. Ash from the five volcanoes chokes the air, and heat constantly rises from the lava floes winding their way through the mountains. A clan survives or dies by its Goblin tinkerers- whether it be new ash-masks or neutralizing acid rain to drink. The best clans have the smartest goblins- a title held by the Gul. History has forgotten the Swamp Elves in the north, their once proud civilization was brought low by their own hand during the Desiccation.
