Excerpt from Treatise on Wani, the people known as Fole

To speak of the wani, you must recognize the Fole. When people mention a Fole, they typically intend wani. According to Fole, any species can be Fole. Surely, if a rincori, tevlo, or any other intelligent species were to join the Fole faith, then they too would be Fole and would answer to Fole as much as any wani nearby. While there can be Wani who are not Fole, they are all but nonexistent. And address any wani as such and they will harshly correct you to refer to them as Fole. So long as I have been alive and talked to countless others from scholars to farmers, only one adventuring wizard laid claim to having met a wani who wasn't Fole. All the wizard had to say was that the wani claimed to have smuggled him and his family aboard the earliest traveling vessels, and was the only one of his kind who came over that wasn't Fole. Given the advanced age of the wizard, and her claim that she was young when she met the old hermit wani, I truly believe that she could be telling the truth.

The wani people are all Fole by all accounts. About as tall as a Faelon, they typically range from 1.5 to 2 meters tall.

Both genders are encouraged to seek out who they want, but women tend to actively seek out the men more, with men tending to be more passive in their courting of women.

Technology has developed alongside magic. You're likely to see a farmer tilling his land with a drawn plow while a ritualist stands nearby

The language is generally very curt. Long-winded explanations are often viewed as annoying at the societal level.

Physical touch is highly pervasive through society, with a sense of "personal space" being a very small bubble or non-existent.

Outfits are simplistic, functional and minimal. It's a relatively young society, so little in the way of tradition has been established yet.

While records are kept and made available of history before Gokin, Fole disregard the history before as unimportant.

A form of hugging is the customary and respectful greeting of the Fole. "Your right arm goes over their shoulder and around the back while your left hand is placed on their hip."
