Ignius Gleaium {Warming Root}

Ignius Gleaium (Warming Root) is a Gleamatrophic plant found in the southern region of Stinnera, it grows mostly underground with wire-like thorned fibres sprouting above ground, these fibres are used as a form of defence against predators and as a way of absorbing atmospheric Gleam.
Ignius Gleaium gives off excess heat into it's surroundings through it's Gleamatrophic cycle, meaning that where a significant amount of the plant grow more fragile plants can also be often found, this warmth also lingers for a while after Ignius Gleaium is harvested.

Uses in Stinneran society:
Within the permanent settlements in southern Stinnera Ignius Gleaium is often grown alongside other plants despite it tasting terrible, due to the warmth that it produces making it easier for other plants to survive. Additionally many of the poorer southern folk will keep some freshly harvested Ignius Gleaium on their person as a cheap source of additional heat. The nomadic folk of southern Stinnera will forage for wild Ignius Gleaium as an extra heat source or as an emergency food source, often pulping it into a foul tasting mash that can be added to other food or cooked and eaten on it's own.
