Human Robotics

Robotics research is innately intertwined with cybernetic research, and the two have played off each other for centuries. While true artificial intelligence has not yet been implemented, learning-capable intelligences, ranging from the most basic task-oriented type up to the rare Ghost entities, direct the heart of human infrastructure through robotic bodies or Network interfaces. Human-operated robots are also commonplace, whether as remotely controlled drones or as manned battlesuits.

Usuform Robots

Usuform robots are by far the most common type of model in Union and Brinker space alike. These are traditional industrial and commercial robots, built for form over function. Almost none have anything more than predefined actions and reactions programmed in. Androids

K'itskirna Robotics

Robotics technology has outpaced many other fields of K'itskirna research, owing to the great advantages that capable robots provide to such a physically-frail species. The Thousand Lights military is almost completely drone-operated, as is much of its heavy industry, relegating the K'itskirna themselves to the pursuits of the mind and to certain service fields. Thousand Lights robots double as anchors for their beamed-power and communication networks, extending their influence outside of established infrastructure.
