Stone Orc
Stone Orcs, known as Uruks in Orcish, are a race of Orcs that dwell in the crags and wastelands of Giant's March.
Appearance
Anatomy
As Orcs, Stone Orcs are generally taller and leaner than their Sea Orcs cousin and have skin tones ranging in mid to light brown hues. Although they have tusks, they're far smaller than those of Sea Orcs are barely protrude beyond the lips. Their hair is coarse and usually dark brown or black, and it's common for it to be tied back in a braid of some kind. Stone Orcs have thin, short body hair like a human would have and generally do not have facial hair. Stone Orcs often tattoo their skin with familial and religious symbolism.Clothing
Civilians in Stone Orc society dress lightly and simply. In shady areas, they may wear little more than a loin cloth and, for females, a wrapping around the chest to keep themselves decent. In areas of direct sunlight, they wear light, flowing cloaks as well as wraps around their legs and arms to protect their skin from the sun. Many Stone Orcs wear necklaces strung with small trinkets or trophies, such as severed fingers and ears, flakes of stone, or ceremonial carvings.Armor
Stone Orcs are amongst the best metalworkers in the known world, and their armor reflects that. While it isn't stylish, Stone Orcish platemail is in high supply and features angular, solid plates that cover the entirety of a warrior's body. The accompanying shields are designed to lock together to form tight shield walls, and it's even common for Stone Orcish carts, wagons, and beasts of burden to be equally armored.Culture

Religion
Surr
Stone Orcs chiefly worship Surr, whom they refer to as the forge-god. They believe that favor with Surr will grant them the ability to craft better armaments and erect stronger structures. To this end, flame iconography is plentiful throughout Stone Orc culture, often painted on walls and shields with a primitive red paint. Smithing is a particularly sacred profession to Stone Orcs due to its close association with Surr, and those who practice the craft do so with a certain piety. Such blacksmiths are called Forgepriests and commonly brand themselves with flame iconography in honor of their connection with Surr.Murkur
Stone Orcs recognize the existence of Murkur, a god more commonly worshipped by the Sea Orcs. Althoguh uncommon, the sick, elderly, or others who are unable to otherwise contribute to society may gouge out their eyes as an offering to this god of darkness in the hopes of receiving wisdom and insight through visions that can lead their tribe forward.Government
