Session 4: To Blackbird!

General Summary

Hired 2 new crew members, Shar'Alt (big scary spider engineer from the Sumik system - Sumikians) and Mackenzie "Mac Mac" McLeod, a human gunner and bodyguard who also was raised as a ship rat on a small trader similar to the Andromeda.
Aggie got her 6th success for investigating Meeko's necklace, discovering that it can be plugged into the ships drive to increase jump range by 1, and that it also has some kind of encrypted star map built into it.
Jeremy arranged for a poorly paying freight job to Blackbird (20 tons of biowaste in 1 ton crates).
The Andromeda went to the inner asteroid belt to give Mac Mac a chance to show her skills with gunnery, but before they got there they were intercepted by Voidcaller pirates, who had a class 2 gunboat along with 2 parasite fighters (drive 5, 3 hull, 1 fixed plasma-2dam). They destroyed the fighters, and after a protracted dogfight disabled the pirate gunboat. They EVAed across and finished off the last 3 crew members and a combat bot that they accidentally activated in the cargo hold. Final salvage was 1x laser turret, 3x units of spares and 1x nano-charge.
Afterwords they continued on to Blackbird. Meeko had a contact from STIX security who had moved to Blackbird to work for Fiedelbum, who agreed to look into the Dicker Max for her and let her know if he felt like he could disclose any of the information he could find. They met on day 6 of the timeline, and will meet back again on day 7.
Killian had a friend from "work" who used to operate as his ground crew with the mafia. He looked up confidential ship logs and discovered that Dick Max had been in the shipyard for refurbishment, but had left 2 weeks before.
Jeremy hacked into the Flight Control system at the starport and discovered that 1) the Dicker Max didn't jump while still in range of the Starport sensors, but any one of 10 different system could have been their destination, if they even actually jumped and didn't just go to some outer system base. He also discovered that the registered Captain of the Dicker Max is Thesh Akenson, who is also 2nd in command of IS. She has an apartment rented in her name on Blackbird, the adress to which he also got.
Aggie and Shar'alt are installing the turret salvaged from the pirate gunboat.
