Episode 4, Chapter 2: Part 2; Trials and Revelations Report

General Summary

The air in the room immediately became tense as the man cloaked in black continued, apologizing for his absence all those years ago to his three apprentices. Mya', Vek, and Bl33p were incredibly horrified of the husk of a man in front of them. Durak, who had used Ward's Foresight to see a potential future, embraced his master, forgiving him, but still probing about the assassination mission. Onallo only says that she is needed as a vessel due to her powers of healing, and is ultimately a secondary objective compared to the Pyramid of Vong. It is at this point that the horribly injured B133p (being tended to by Vek) raises a finger, pointing to Onallo, claiming he was the one that tortured him on Formos before he met The Crew.   Mya', though incredibly disappointed and angry with her master's actions to B133p and the plot to kill Ursa Lightfoot, listens to the old man. He continues by telling the three apprentices that he wishes to finish all three of their training as Jensaaraii. Mya' has fundamental philosophical issues with her master's new life, but would still like to learn under him again as he mentions raising both her and Zoreal from childhood.   Zoreal, however, has no interest in the excuses of his former master, he berates him for taking an ancient mask and vanishing. Confessing he does not trust the Saraii-kaar. Onallo would simply laugh. Confessing he does not want to hurt his former padawan, but he has a job to do, and if anyone gets in his way, they will have to die. He had come to reunite with his apprentices, so that they may have enough power to defeat the Empire with his ally. Zoreal refuses to help in any way, shape, or form. Calling his former teacher a liar, and a killer. He continues by challenging his new comrades, questioning how Mya' and Durak could possibly join the man cloaked in black.   The conversation would go back and forth, an intense debate on morality and ethical decisions would ensue among the three apprentices. With all three actively challenging each others beliefs. Being the man to get down to business, Vek asks Onallo why he would want the Pyramid of Vong. To which the old warrior responded that he could not say, but if he wished to work with him, and the Crimson Dawn, they would pay far better than anyone he could possibly be working for. Intrigued, Vek offers his services. B133p is mortified of the concept of returning to the Crimson Dawn.   It is at this moment, that the apprentices sense a deep conflict within their former master. Mya' and Durak ask why he left the Jensaaraii Temple if he did indeed regret leaving. The crestfallen Saraii-kaar would reveal it was to protect the two of them, pulling his hood back, revealing a heavily scarred face. He claims that his- master- (which he accidentally spits out) offered an ultimatum: His services or his apprentices. That this entire time, he has been training, getting stronger.   Zoreal interrupts the sob story by calling him a former husk of his true self. Onallo, realizing his first apprentice does not know of the sins of his past, reveals he was the Jedi who revealed the Jensaaraii to the Jedi Council, and it was he who aided in the killing of Niktos Tyris, and the first Jensaaraii, so he could claim the title of Saraii-kaar for himself, and learn the teachings of the Sith uninhibited. Disgusted, Zoreal assaults the old man with a flurry of curses and insults to which the old Jedi Master is unphased.   He reveals what he knows of the plan in hopes of earning Zoreal's trust. He explains that he and the Crimson Dawn need the Pyramid of Vong to activate a portal on the planet Rakata Prime. This portal would allow extragalactic beings known as the Yhuuzan Vong to enter the Galaxy, and hopefully destroy the Empire. He calls his former torturer a "fleshie" and in response, Onallo prepares to unleash another torrent of lightning upon the droid, but is hugged by Durak. He tries to raise his hand anyways, but Mya' quickly changes the subject to the Pyramid of Vong.   The room descends into chaos, with Vek, Zoreal, and Mya' believing this to be a horrible plan. Durak and B133p actually agree with the Crimson Dawn's plan to destroy the Empire. Both parties argue their points, with no one budging until B133p asks what the plan is once the Empire is gone. Onallo isn't aware of the plan his master has set forth, but claims to trust him, those who can sense him, feel great conflict within him.   Zoreal, still scathing, shouts at Mya' and Durak, accusing them of lusting only for power. It is at this moment that the man cloaked in black draws the hilt of a crossgaurd lightsaber, and places the emitter close to Zoreal's neck. He tells his eldest apprentice that he clearly isn't as wise as his other two apprentices in the room, and at the very least he should finish his training. Something clicks in Zoreal's brain, and he accepts his apprenticeship once more, but refuses to harm Ursa Lightfoot or help in the plot of the Crimson Dawn. Onallo can sense his student has more attachment to Ursa than he is letting on..but the elder Zabrak refuses to explain the situation.   Realizing he is in a place of leverage, he teases Vek with information that would be more valuable than any Credits, but before he can continue, Zoreal once again berates his Master for being a tool to be used in exchange for shallow power. Onallo, fighting his rage, explains again that he had no say in the matter. Zoreal comments on how disappointed Master Mace Windu would be to see his apprentice fall so low. Onallo is left speechless, collects his thoughts and tries to deflect by saying that Master Vos was equally as bad, yet Master Windu welcomed him back with open arms, even after working with Darth Tyrannus. Durak, the younger Zabrak, goes in for another hug, and asks when the last time he had ever done anything of his own free will, to which the broken man responds: "Last I saw you two". Referring to his time training Mya' and Durak.   The conflict within Onallo shifts, and he gives the Crew an ultimatum: Leave the planet and run, or cross him and die. However, there was a third option: He could abandon his associates in the Crimson Dawn, steal the Pyramid of Vong, assassinate their Leader: Qi'ra, and train his apprentices in secret to destroy the Crimson Dawn, whom he reveals is lead by an old Zabrak who was a former Sith Lord named Maul. Then their sights could be turned to the Empire. Everyone seems to like this idea. Mya' believes this is the true path to justice. Vek, isn't interested in justice, but Onallo, with a massive grin, informs the Mandalorian of Clan Ordo that Maul is the current wielder of the Darksaber, an artifact capable of uniting the Mandalorian Clans. B133p only wants to put an end to the Crimson Dawn, and to make a society where Droids are Equal to Man. Onallo laughs at the droid, but realizes the Mechanic Droid has made the decision of his own autonomy, shocking him and filling the Saraii-kaar with guilt. Zoreal makes an arguement to keep Ursa Lightfoot alive, revealing she is his Padawan, and a rebel.   The Crew unanimously agrees to welcome Onallo into the fold. He smiles for the first time in a long time, but only for a moment before realizing an hour had gone by. He reminds his apprentices that their friend is in danger, and by extension themselves are also in danger of being discovered by the Empire. He gives the Crew his contact information and departs. Claiming he must maintain cover until Qi'ra is assassinated.   ****   The Crew rushes Topside, the last known location of the teenage Duros. They hear a Twi'lek man shouting about an Imperial Officer attacking someone in broad daylight. Yet everyone turns a blind eye. Mya' asks the man who the Imperial took, drunkenly, he manages to stammer out a story of a fun night out on the town with a Duros named Imzur. As they went their separate ways, he heard a commotion and Imzur shouting for help. The group made a commotion, and shouted the word: "Negri". At the sound of the word, an old woman's ears perk up. Having been eavesdropping. She tells Mya' that Negri's is a Tibanna Gas Processing Vayne on level 171. With the information needed, the Crew raced to level 171.   ****   They arrive at a vacant plaza with a large cylindrical building clearly marked "Negri's Processing Vane". The Crew comes up with a plan to recon the facility. Mya' spots an access ladder on the side of the building and climbs it. Vek sneaks through the front entrance, and finds a young Ugnaught man at the front desk gaurding a blast door behind him. Vek puts a blaster rifle to the back of the man's head and interrogates him with open comms to the rest of the Crew. The Ugnaught reveals that an ISB Agent with several thugs came in with a Duros just an hour ago. They were to stake the place out as bait for the Crew. Vek lets the Ugnaught go, and he rushes out of the building. B133p enters and tries to slice into the front desks terminal. This doesn't bear much fruit as he is thwarted by a defending slicer. Vek regroups with Mya' who has entered the facility by way of maintainance hatch. She spots Imzur, who has been mutilated and is bleeding, his body strung up by wire above the carbonite freezing chamber. She spots a pipe she can swiftly climb, and makes her way to Imzur in hopes of giving him first aid. She notices several thugs below waiting, with their blaster pistols trained on the door.   Meanwhile, B133p has the upper hand in the battle of slicers. He manages to destroy a security wall, and then decides to trace the enemy slicer back to the Processing Room behind him. At this point, Durak has decided to guard the entrance of the facility, while Zoreal keeps an eye on the door behind B133p. The slicer tries to shut B133p out of the terminal, but fails, creating a bigger mess for themselves. It is at this instance that Mya' is able to administer a stimpack to Captain Delt. His eyes barely come to life.   One of the men shout to a woman dressed in black with brown hair about how he is dealing with a slicer on the other side of the door, but the slicer is too good. The woman in black pushes him aside, tries to lock B133p out of the mainframe, and succeeds. B133p plugs out of the mainframe, and immediately walks passed the Zabrak dressed in ornate (formally Jedi) robes, and opens the blast door to the Processing Room. The room full of armed men and women immediately open fire on the mechanic droid, sparks fly off of him, already damaged from Onallo's onslaught, he slowly lurches to the ground. His eyes dim...   Vek, who has reached the maintenance hatch, drops down, using the residual tibanna gas emissions as cover. Mya', realizing what is happening, fires a shot from her blaster at the ISB Agent, but misses. Zoreal takes cover and begins shooting at the group, but with little success. Durak rushes into the room and grabs B133p, dragging him into cover with the young, purple eyed Zabrak.   Vek opens fire on the ISB Agent, and nearly takes her out in a single blow, but she clings to life. Realizing she may be outgunned, she comes up with an escape plan, but not before Mya' drops from the ceiling, drawing her pink bladed lightsaber. She swings at the Agent, but misses. The ISB Agent sprints towards the door, but is shot in the shoulder, destroying it, and knocking her out. The blast goes through her now mutilated shoulder, and hits a pipe, causing a small chain reaction with the tibanna Gas within. The gas begins to leak into the room. .   With the Agent incapacitated, Durak comes out of cover, and points to the fallen Agent. Shouting for the surrender of the rest of the thugs. One man takes the side of the winners (as he says), and blasts his comrades, wounding one. The fight would not continue on much longer, as the men turned their long range blasters towards the Beskar-clad Mandalorian.   Durak uses this time as an opportunity to take B133p, cause a distraction, and escape the room. Mya' (painfully) removes Imzur from his bindings, and throws him under her cloak before making an escape as well. Vek quickly dispatches of the remaining thugs, including the one assisting the Crew. He drops from the rafters above the processing room, grabs the deformed ISB Agent, and leaves with the rest of the Crew. Making sure to put binders on the ISB Agent. Letting the blast doors of Negri's Processing Vane close behind him.
