The gold dragon is considered the god and guardian of the element earth, the centre, heaven and the sun. He’s the most powerful creature, master of all the dragons who many believe to be invincible and immortal. This celestial creature took the first brave emperor into the heavens and donated wind and rain to the people. He is the one who grants bountiful harvests and thus ensures life. Many believe the first Golden Emperor attained immortality at the end of his reign and transformed into a gold dragon, ascending to heaven. Since then, all emperors are considered as the earthly representative of the Huanglong (gold dragon). The use of the Huanglong in iconography, seals and heraldry is reserved for the imperial line alone and for this reason the gold dragon is also known as the imperial dragon. The Huanglong is often accompanied by lotus flowers, the concentric petals of the lotus symbolize perfectly the qualities of the element earth: Everything revolves around a centre, expands and carries the power of transformation. Those with a strong association to the gold dragon are typically known as Huanglong, after the golden dragon itself, and are usually those born under its watchful gaze, in the last months of each season when the imperial dragon oversees the transformation and transition from one period to the next. Huanglong are said to possess the noble characteristics of fidelity, loyalty, and honesty and are often nurturing. They are bastions of stability, and security, gravitating towards positions of authority and responsibility and often rising to be great generals, commanders, wardens and protectors. They tend towards active lifestyles where they play a proactive roll in affairs, leading from the front and letting their actions express their views rather than their words.

Huanglong: Huanglong are humanoids with the Human and Earth subtypes. Medium: Huanglong are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size. Normal Speed: Huanglong have a base speed of 30 feet. Elementally Aligned: Your strong affinity to your celestial totem imbues you with an affinity for its associated element. You have the (Earth) Subtype. Elemental Harmony: Any class features, feats, special abilities or spells you use which heal damage or provide bonuses function as if one character, class, or caster level higher when the recipient has the (Metal) subtype. Elemental Adversity: Any class features, feats, special abilities or spells you use which deal damage or inflict penalties function as if one character, class, or caster level higher when the recipient has the (Water) subtype. Lead through Strength: You take command and lead through strength and action, you may use your Str rather than your Cha for Diplomacy and Intimidation checks. Balanced Form: You are perfectly centred and grounded in your form as such you gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against transmutation spells and spell-like effects.
