Selune / Leira

Toril's silver moon, known as Selune by the groundlings and Leira by its inhabitants. The silver surface of pockmarked stone is actually an illusion hiding a verdant world of trees and lakes, as well as a small yet thriving civilization of humans, elves, and halflings.

The Leirans attribute this illusion to their patron goddess Leira, goddess of illusions, who hides their beautiful home from envious eyes. They are rumored to be constantly suspicious of Torillans who might one day try to claim the moon as their own.
