Vrael
My first encounter with the Vrael was during the liberation of the city Ancead. Their ground troops consisted of enslaved humans and pureblood Yuan-Ti. These Vrael were once human, but twisted by dark magic giving them serpentlike characterisitics. Most of these purebloods were thoroughly indoctrinated into the Vrael way of thinking, though I swear I could still see the light in their eyes. Unlike the halfblood and abomination higher ups, where any emotion was abscent in their vibrant ochre eyes. As much as these monstrosities terrified me, the thought of letting them have their way with an entire planet's population is what held me strong during this battle.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Their anatomy differs greatly between the 3 main types. The halfbloods appear humanlike with some serpentlike features such as scales, a forked tongue or sharp venom infused teeth. The halfbloods or malisons have features like a serpentine head, serpents for arms or the lower body of a serpent.
The abomination are regarded as the most pure form of Vrael, also called Auvrael. They no longer resemble a human beside the fact that they have two arms. The rest of their bodies resemble a giant snake.
Genetics and Reproduction
The Vrael have two methods of reproducing. Either they can transform humans into purebloods by means of occult rituals and blood magic. Or the can mate between themselves, resulting in halfblood or abominations as offspring.
Ecology and Habitats
The Vrael prefer a warm, moist environment abundant with other lifefroms they can enslave. The remaining Vrael are now in hiding in an as thusfar unknown place.
