Welcome

Welcome to the Megaverse! I want to go over a couple of things before you dive in!

What is the Megaverse?

The Megaverse is a bunch of interconnected stories, many planets and characters, and highly extended lore—everything matters for something, and the impact you make matters. You will be leaving a lasting effect on the NPCs and other characters you meet.

Ruleset

• For this game, we are using D&D5e. I will be setting you up with the dndbeyond link. You still have to follow the rules of the server and the rules of character creation.
• Please check all the pinned messages before posting in a channel.
• Combat and exploration will still work the same, and I will still ask for rolls when it comes up.

Game stuff

• This is a text-based game. Meaning, we will not be using the voice chat unless the whole group wants to.
• I will be present in the text-based space most, if not all, day! Saturdays at 8:30 PM EST and Sundays at 7:30 PM EST, Fridays at 7:30 PM EST, I will be playing a game as well. Monday-Thursday, I will be around from the moment I wake up. Mind you, I still work. I am active from 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST on those days. However, you guys can still play as a group when I am not around. Team building is important. 
• Activity is expected; if something comes up, please let the group know! If you disappear, you will be removed.

About the Game

Basic Information

Nevermore is a game about the pairs in the Megaverse. What are pairs?

• The elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water: This group is usually not born together and are not related.
• Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall: Like the elements, these people are not related and are not born together.
• Gravity and Space: Siblings separated at birth: They would have different sexes.
• Magic and Anti-Magic: These two are siblings and would be of different sexes.
• Love and Hate: Two siblings of the same sex.
• Peace and War: Two siblings of the same sex.
• Light and Dark: Two siblings, they could be the same sex or different sex.

You will be looking for the pairs, saving them if need be, and getting them to the destination they need to be at. Some of the pairs will be 13-18, and some will be 19-25. The game will take place on Earth 35, where the pairs are currently. This game will feature all kinds of themes and emotional experiences.

Adult Content:

• We do not feature rape of player characters at all. Trying it will get you banned. Sexual violence does not happen to the player characters. If it has happened to an NPC, it happens off-screen.
• Racism and Sexism are present on this planet. Nothing too crazy.

Starter

“Are you sure these are the ones?” Nike will place a hand on her arm and sigh. “Yes, ma’am, these are the ones.” The All-Mother will glace up at the worried goddess. “I can handle the preparations. I am sure you're needed back on the battlefield.”
Nike will sigh deeply and hold the bridge of her nose tightly. “Make sure the preparations are complete for them. Get them all up to speed; if I am needed, I will come around personally. I will be coming back for the ceremony.”

Before the ceremony:

You have waited your whole life for this. For whatever reason, you want to be chosen by the All-Mother. Maybe you want to prove yourself; maybe you need to get away. Whatever case, today is the day. Your new life starts here.

The Players/Character Creation

Nike will be tasking you with this mission, though she will not be around throughout the whole mission. You will be saving people, taking down baddies, and Your character needs to have the following:

• A want or need to adventure.
• You are starting at level 1, and that should be reflected in the backstory. Why does your character want to do this? How do they feel about being chosen? Somethings you should think about when creating your hero.
• Emo characters will not be allowed: Your character must be able to interact with the group. Must speak with the other players.
• No evil characters are allowed.
• No murder-hobos are allowed.
• All characters must be adults, ages 18-whatever.
• Character creation rules from the website and the server must be followed.

About NPCs: 

The NPCs are a critical part of the game, and this is how they work.

Relationships:

You can build bonds and relationships with NPCs: The more you interact with them, the stronger the bond gets: Things like age, background, likes, and dislikes can change how an NPC grows to like you.

Pay attention to feelings:

NPCs have likes and dislikes, and paying attention to that will help you succeed with them. Some of them love ice cream, and some of them hate it! NPCs have fears and emotions, some of them go through shock, and some are as happy as possible.

NPC background and lore:

You have to get to know the NPCs to learn about them. Not all of them will open up to you just off the bat.

Other:

Sexual acts are fade to black in the server. Plots: I write the plots on the world anvil so we can always see what happens. Sometimes I will make a report when more important events take place. You are responsible for the majority of notes. Please keep that in mind. I will be making notes and posts when they are needed. You must join the world anvil game to see all this information. You must fill out the consent in gaming form.
