Dark Dough: Comfort Food of The Heart

Dark Dough originated in Arrondeth over a hundred years ago. You can combine a variety of ingredients.   Dark Dough starts as normal dough and is made into Dark Dough during the baking process. The bakers who create this snack have to be able to perform Arcana and have specifically studied under the food division of Magic.

Creating the Dough

The dough is made by mixing flour with water, you can also use a different liquid. In the empire, there is a special dough that is created by Arcane Water. Yeast is typically used by other ingredients like fats or flavorings can be used as well.
Once the dough is made you go through your typical process of shaping the dough and letting it bake. Only let it bake for a maximum of five minutes before starting the spell.
When you create Dark Dough you have to be very careful. Too much arcana will poison the person who eats the snack and too little will make the dough explode. During the spell, you can add bonus flavorings and toppings.

Arrondeth and Dark Dough

Arrondeth is known for producing Dark Dough in mass. Other nations will buy it for them, some nations have a unique twist on the recipe. The empire for example creates special doughs for holidays and special events.
Dark Dough tastes best with milk chocolate and white chocolate should never be used with this dough, it tastes gross.
The royal family is known for getting special doughs produced for their children's birthdays.

History

Dark Dough was created by accident! It happened when a baker slipped and accidentally shot a spell off. The spell hit the brick oven and the dough changed color: This happened around the time when food magic was starting to be developed.   It took a long time to get the recipe down and there was a lot of trial and error. Once the process of making the dough was complete more trials had to happen to figure out what ingredients worked with the dough.
