Detective Bernard
Detective Bernard (a.k.a. Bernie)
Detective Bernard is a well respected member of the Ares City Guards who is well known to the population of the undercity. Born in the undercity he was the perfect one to be assigned to any investigation including the district when he already spends his off time in the taverns down there. He's a gruff by the book kind of detective but has been known to have a more unpredictable side when he's had a few drinks. He's attached to the people of the undercity and feels a duty to help them. He has been under a lot of stress lately.

He tries to mitigate that harm where he can. Sometimes he thinks there has to be more he can do without crossing the line of the law.
