Old Deffdrians

The old Deffdrians were the original denizens of Deffdria. They opened a rift between the universe and the void, letting loose the beasts within, which devoured the old Deffdrians without hesitation. The newer Deffdrians, which just go by the name 'Deffdrians' based their forms on these people.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The old Deffdrians were humanoid in form, and generally had rather slender bodies covered in black feathers. They were unable to fly despite their feathers, and had solid bones. They had short beaks that were lightly colored, usually shades of white and yellow. They were hairless from their shins downward, and had three long toes which had a powerful grip.

Ecology and Habitats

The old Deffdrians built cities on Deffdria and tended to live rather civilized lives. While a few did isolate themselves into the wilderness, they were absolutely the exception.

Civilization and Culture

History

Deffdria, the home of both species calling themselves Deffdrians, is near a part of the universe where the barrier between the universe and the Void is particularly weak. This caused both realities to change and influence each other, which included the living beings on both side of the barrier. The old Deffdrians' minds were slowly warped over a long period of time as the barrier further deteriorated. With the elements themselves being twisted and changed by the weakened barrier, the Deffdrians were able to forge a blade that could cut through the barrier, which they called Magulus. While they succeeded in their mission, this would bring forth the end of the old Deffdrians, as the Void beings inside swarmed out of the Void and devoured every living thing on the planet before flying out into space.
