Chrysus
It was colonized by humans long ago because it was found to be rich in gold ore. They named it “Chrysus” after the greek spirit of gold. Chrysus met a similar fate to Old Earth; it was made uninhabitable by the nuclear warring of humans.
As soon as the effects of radiation became apparent, large-scale evacuations were performed to rescue the people from its surface. The operation, though effective in relocating citizens, was clumsy. Families were separated and spread across the galaxy. Many search for their loved ones, but the poor documentation of which refugees went where makes their quest nearly impossible.
