Bopan’s Templates for Genetic Hybrids (aka BTGH or Bopan’s Templates)

The Chotikran scientist Bopan created the first of his famed templates after much trial and error. His goal, ultimately, was to create a Chotikran-Naza Hybrid so that they and their spouse could have a child together. When they succeeded in their trials, and a child was born and survived, news outlets grabbed hold of their “invention.” People were clamoring for them to create hybrids of every kind. Bopan never intended for their discovery to be commercialized, or even used more than once. Bopan took a year off to raise their precious child. After the break, they returned to the lab to create a Chotikran-Human hybrid for a close friend and their spouse. Bopan continued to work, and eventually devised a pattern for hybrids between every major galaxy-travelling species. Their work, though openly published, requires advanced machinery to execute. Hybrids exist today, but their numbers are still small.
