Lenora

Along the southern coast of Pyinore jutting out into the Moonlit Bay is the city of Lenora, the highest-traffic location in the known world. With the largest flow of items coming in and going out through their ports and overland trade, the city is constantly bustling and very wealthy. As it borders the Moonlit Grove, the city is also a very popular site of pilgrimage, making it possibly the most famous and well-known city in Irida.

Defences

The city has suffered numerous attacks throughout the years both from planar and extraplanar forces, and as such has numerous defenses against both. The city's walls are enchanted to prevent entrance or sabotage from extraplanar forces, and are reinforced such that they could withstand concentrated fire beyond what science is currently capable of mustering. It comes equipped with two layers of defense: the inner ring, composed of towering circular stone walls made to prevent large-scale assaults of extraplanar forces, and the outer stars, a series of flat, relatively low walls equipped to fire back at planar armies and be protected against their siege weapons. Their soldiers are well-trained and disciplined, and the powers that be are always on the lookout for rising magical talent that could be put to use maintaining the city's defenses.

Tourism

Individuals from all around Irida plan journeys to Lenora to see the Moonlit Grove, the garden that houses the Tree of Energy created by the Gods when they still roamed the earth. The city has a well-developed sector with plenty of inns and hostels for merchants, sailors, and travelers. In addition, the Circle of the Moonlit Grove has a charity program that sponsors dedicated individuals and groups who wish to visit the holy site but do not have the funds to do so; they have their own guest living quarters for the lucky few who end up being granted one of the Circle's all-expense paid trips to visit them.
