Meli: The Language of the Chosen

Created by C.A. DuChane Social Zombii Games
The Evil Sky Raiders Pure and Beautiful Language.   The Melicanti's language is beautiful and complex, and at it most base level its 39 characters act as an affirmation of their most deeply held beliefs. The Melicanti belief that the world is destined to go through cycles of destruction and recreation, and they are okay with doing anything hastening the cycles progression at all costs. The characters of their cryptic language are organized into one major character system in all things can (math or prose) expressed, and which numbers are treated as the most important alphabetic characters and closely by the social characters and sound characters.   Their ten basic number characters (0-9) are named for the 9 muses (beautiful gods/goddesses) and Koh'No which is loosely translated to the unnamed destruction. The Melicanti have a long held belief that the unnamed destruction will come as a result of the wrath from 3401 years ago, and that the Melicanti will do all it takes to survive, so they can meet the Muses when they once more come to recreate the world.   0- Koh'On - Unnamed Destruction   1- Sha - Shay're: Goddess of Creation/Art/Wilderness   2- Ja - Jacho: God of Motion/Speed/Time   3- Ma - Malie: God of Sound/Fury/Thunder   4- Hao - Haono: Goddess of Shapes/Fertility/Chaos/Water   5- El - Elmaia: Goddess of Thought/Magic/Knowledge   6- Rh - Rhete: God of Emotion/Growth/Greenery   7- Ink - Inkar: God of Death/Decay/Icy/Hunger   8- Kei - Kei: Godess of Souls/Lightning/Aether   9- Is - Ishinok: Guardian of Balance/Law/Justice   Their remaining characters are broken into social class, and general character sounds.   Aka - Social letter character - The waste of society, genetically inferior - Thrown Away, Commonly Raiders   Ban - Social letter character - Brutes bread for close range combat - Front line fighters   Dea - Social letter character - Augmented range fighters - Prided for stealth and sniping ability   Fek - Social letter character - Brain washed members of other races used as spies, concubines and slaves.   Jau - Social letter character - Highly skilled Crafters, Researchers, and Smiths   Lam - Social letter character - Runeist that tattoo/carve the Aether symbols into Melicanti warriors, raider, and tools.   Nim - Social letter character - Breeders, Educators, and Namers   Om - Social letter character - Leaders thought to be the descendants of gods in their culture - Often Researchers   Que've - Social letter character - God King   The remaining 20 sound characters have no currently know meaning, but are important as a function of forming words, and punctuating sentences. The most notable being K'l the sound of clicking your tongue against your teeth which signifies breaks in thought or ends of a sentence, and Ye a sound/general uses article word that replaces: for, and, nor, but, or & yet) and is used to combine thoughts.   Much of the language is based on social and context clues.

Common Phrases
Inksha Mama Ye Keija K'l - Death Thunder and Lightning - Common Melicati War Cry.
Common Unisex Names
All Melicati names are based on a unisex naming scheme. When all Melicanti are born they are put through a rigorous series of test designed to best chose the child's name, and future in the Melicanti society.   A Melicanti name is made of three number characters and their class in society. The first character is their title or society character. The next two are number character that signify god granted skills based on the gods/goddess. The final character signifies a weakness that will most likely never be overcome in a lifetime. Uneducated outsiders often mistakenly think that their naming scheme is as simple as serial numbers.   Examples.   Ban Marhja - Brute or Frontline warrior skilled in thunder and growth, but weak at speed.   Literal Translation Brute 362   Nimfek Iselrh - Mother Slave skilled in balance and knowledge, but is too sympathetic.   Literal Translation: Mother Slave 956     Note: Children not raised within Melicanti society are often named based on the culture they are living in. An example would be like humans on a human controlled island.
