Sophie weeped as she struggle to remain standing by the sink. Her pain was two fold the violent strain to her body, and the damage to her pride; for she knew that soon she would loose her independence.
In her youth it had been so easy, but now she could no long summon up enough water to even wash a single dish without the searing pain busking throuh her withered form. It wouldn't be to much longer before her magic would dry up, and be complete useless. She would continue to suffer alone unable to channel aether as her body would become more and more resistant.
It would be best, she told her, to write the kids today...before her stubbornness once more got the best of her.
