The Havlomen Kingdom has lasted for almost 200 years. Forged in blood and betrayal it has become a great force, unifying the men of the West. Once united against a common enemy, political and religious strife threaten to tear the kingdom apart as long-suppressed differences start to reemerge.   Old traditions struggle against new realities. The still young Church of the Wanderer seeks to stamp out practices of the old beliefs while those sworn to protect the kingdom against an ancient enemy look to salvage the lost, a now forbidden, knowledge to aid them in the fight they are sure is coming.   The political imbalance between the descendants of the tribes that once united to form the Havlomen Kingdom is causing increasing friction. While some parts of the nobility feel marginalised and seek to increase their influence, others fear that their traditions (and power) will be lost and oppose any change to the status quo. The king struggles to reconcile the increasingly hostile factions but is widely seen as weak and ineffective. It seems only to be a matter of time before the kingdom tears itself apart. Will the rumours of an old enemy stirring in the mountains serve to reunite the Havlomen or will they be the spark that ignites the conflict into full-scale war?
