Undertongue

The heritage language of the Midnight Elves, Undertongue is descended from Elvish, but also has roots deep in Draconic. When the Seven Days Rebellion ended the reign of Lolth, all Undertongue texts were destroyed, and to rebuild, the Midnight Elves borrowed the Dwarvish Script to assign spoken sounds letter equivalents, as the destruction of Lolth's Temple marked the end of anyone who knew how to write using the Elvish Script.
