In writing this book, I hope to affix in stone the memories of what truly happened during the days of the Resistance, and the Seven Days Rebellion. while I cannot prove to be unbiased, I have striven to ask for separate accounts from many people, including those who once worshiped Lolth earnestly, in order to paint as complete a picture of the Rebellion as possible. though I have tried my best to make this unbiased, please read with the fact that I was an aggressor against the temple of Lolth in mind, and that my words are written from the perspective of a Revolutionary, rather than any other, and that in my single perspective, I will miss many things that, both good and bad, were done...

  Written by Dural Moonshadow, Memories of the Rebellion is a firsthand account of the Resistance and the Seven Days War, spanning seven decades of time and numbering over two thousand pages in length. for the Midnight Elves, Memories serves as a holy text and memoir similar in form to the Bible or The Tale of Genji

Purpose

Dural Moonshadow wrote Memories of the Rebellion to preserve the memory of the Rebellion, and prevent the mists of time from distorting what happened.

Document Structure

Clauses

In each murta of Memories of the Rebellion, of which there are five, is divided into a number of corbans, ranging from three to twenty. Each corban contains a number of pages ranging from ten to twenty, for a grand total of two thousand pages of words, from cover to cover.

References

Dural relied on not only his eyewitness account of the Rebellion, but several other close and distant friends, among them Sveta the Griever, Grevan the Moonblade, and Queria Shadowstalker.

Background

Dural Moonshadow was one of the close companions of Erandul the Moonsworn, and played several vital roles in the building of the Resistance and subsequent shadow war. nearly five hundred years after the Seven Days Rebellion, Dural set out to create a history of the Rebellion, told from a number of perspectives, that would provide an account of what truly happened, rather than simple myth or speculation.

History

Memories of the Rebellion covers a span of seventy years, from the founding of the Resistance(3796 AF) to the Founding of the Midnight Kingdom(3868 AF). divided into five murtas, or stories, Memories provides eyewitness accounts of the downfall of the Drow Empire.

Public Reaction

Almost Universal acclaim of Memories of the Rebellion immediately followed its publication.

Legacy

The Literate Public quickly and overwhelmingly demanded more copies of Memories, causing two dozen new print shops to open in the Midnight Kingdom over the span of ten years. more than anything else, Memories of the Rebellion is responsible for making all Midnight Elves literate. Because of this, books are common in the Midnight Kingdom, and every household has a few books, including a copy of Memories
