Way of the Destruction Style

You are trained in the Destruction Style, a martial arts style focused on obtaining absolute control of your body and dealing maximum damage to your opponent. The style focuses on using shockwaves-enhanced strikes to either obliterate your enemies completely or at the very least, wound them heavily.

Total Focus: Destructive Stance

Starting at 3rd level, as a bonus action, you can enter the Destructive Stance. When you first enter this stance, choose 1 creature to be your Total Focus opponent, for as long as you are in combat with your Total Focus target, you have advantage on checks to learn of its current location on the battlefield.
In addition, choose a style when you first enter this stance. Once in a style, you can only use the techniques available for that style. To switch style will require you to spend a bonus action. Some techniques requires a saving throw, for which the DC will be 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier.
Styles:
  • Fist Style
  • Air Type: as an action, you can spend 2 Ki points to send volleys of air shockwaves towards an enemy up to 30 ft away from you. The target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 3d10 Force damage and is knocked back up to 15 ft. On a successful save, the creature takes half the damage and is not pushed back.
  • Discord: when you land an unarmed strike, you can spend 2 Ki points to empower your fists with compressed air. Until the end of your turn, all of your unarmed strikes have a reach of 10 ft and does an extra 1d8 Force damage. The enhanced punches also do Force damage instead of Bludgeoning damage for the duration.
  • Eight-Layered Crushing Core: when you successfully strike a creature and it is the 8th strike in total you have landed on that target, you can spend 2 Ki points to empower the strike. The target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 3d10 Force damage and has disadvantage on its first attack roll for 1d4 rounds. On a successful save, the creature only suffers half the damage.
  • Leg Style
  • Crescent Split: as a reaction to an incoming melee attack, you can spend 1 Ki points to perform a vertical split kick and reduce the incoming damage by 1 roll of your Martial Arts die + your Dexterity modifier. If the damage is reduced to 0, you can spend 1 Ki point to immediately make an Unarmed Strike as a triggered action.
  • Explosive Thousand Fury: as an action, you can spend 2 Ki points to unleash a series of shockwaves kick in a 15ft cone. Creatures caught in the cone must make Strength saving throws. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 Force damage and is knocked back 10ft. On a successful save, the creature only takes half the damage and is not pushed back.
  • Cascading Riverfall: when making an Unarmed Strike, you can spend 1 Ki point to increase the reach for that attack by 5 ft. If the attack hits, the target takes an extra 1d8 Force damage and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked Prone.

Eradication Style

At 6th level, you learn an extra style in the Destructive Stance, the Eradication Style: as an action, you can spend 3 Ki points to enter a stance. You then leap 15 ft into the air and unleash a power punch towards a creature within 15 ft of you. The shockwave pressure emitting from your punch pushes down on the creature and it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 5d10 Force damage and is Incapacitated till the end of its next turn. On a successful save, it takes half the damage and is not Incapacitated
In addition, the impact from the shockwaves shatters the ground beneath where the creature stands, creating a 15 ft radius crater and making the area difficult terrain. Creatures caught within the radius that is not the initial target of the attack must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d10 Force damage and half as much on a successful save.

Annihilation Style

At 11th level, you learn an extra style in the Destructive Stance, the Annihilation Style: as an action, you can spend 4 Ki points to lunge forward and perform a double punch towards a creature up to 30 ft from you. That target is pushed back 15 ft and must make a Strength saving throw or take 7d10 Force damage. On a successful save, it takes half the damage. If the target is pushed into a wall, an obstacle or another creature, it takes additional Bludgeoning damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Final Destruction Style: Butterfly Flutter Afterglow

At 17th level, you learn the final technique in the Destructive Stance. As an action, you can spend 5 Ki points to target a creature up to 30 ft from you. You vanish into an afterimage, appearing next to your target in a 15 ft radius explosion of butterflies, forcing creatures caught in the radius to succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn.
You then perform an omni-directional barrage of shockwaves at the target. That creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 10d10 Force damage and at the start of each of its turn, it suffers 1 level of Exhaustion. On a successful save, it only takes half the damage.
