Megafauna

Megafauna is a broad term for any non-magical animal of extraordnary size. To qualify as a Megafauna, a creature must generally be larger than an elephant or mammoth or represent a massive iteration of a pre-existing creature. Much like Dire Creatures, Megafauna are not only extraordinarily large but commensurately more powerful and durable. Though magic might have been a factor in the creation or summoning of Megafauna at some point in the past, the creatures themselves are non-magical and do not rely on magic for their survival. Megafauna are scattered all over the world but tend to be extremely rare compared to other species. The highest known concentration of Megafauna roam The Great North Wood of Karnes.
