The Scope of Solstice

The continent of Solstice is the main theatre of the confilct between the ancient nations of Elistand and Kyrintar. The two empires had fallen long ago when they drove each other into oblivion due to a war between light and dark spanning dozens of generations, and the nations slowly became buried beneath the earth. Generations later, the city of Solstice sprung up from the earth where the two nations once bordered, the war forgotten from the hands of time impercievable.   These ancient conflicts are beginning to resurface as Elistand, the nation of the light, resurfaced during a cataclysmic event that nearly shattered the world. Elistand's crusade against the shadow reemerged as the spirits of the past who were trapped within the unearthed kingdom recruited followers to their side to destroy all that stood in the shadows. Meanwhile, those on the other side of the continent where the sky is dark scrambled to find a way to defend themselves, stumbling upon their own hidden nation deep within the darkness...

Regions

Solstice was the largest city in the land it inhabited, although the center of the city was torn apart after a cataclysmic quake. Its people are slowly reclaiming the city from the fringes inward, staving off a strange corruption which lies in the heart of the city. Takk'ona was the location where Elistand resurfaced. The desert land was initially home to a tribal people, who fight to defend their ancestral lands from the newly forged Elistandian crusaders, while fighting a corruption growing in the sands beneath their feet. The Breathing Woodlands lie to the south of the city of Solstice, a massive forest holding creatures known as Incarnates, physical manifestations of nature and Condumancy.

Outside Solstice

There are other continents outside of Solstice, although contact between them is currently minimal. According to a few conversations with outlanders, the conflict between Elistand and Kyrintar had once bled into some other regions, and in some cases their ideals had persisted, if not the war.
