Solaris A Science Fantasy Setting for Dungeons & Dragons

Space is infinite. Not only in size and in reach, but also in the sheer amount of possibilities and permutations available. This means that in one single universe you will find both vast, dark and empty voids, overpopulated planets lit up by wonderous technology and countless stars creating constellations visible only to the most sentient and creative life forms.

  This is the vision of Space that we see when imagining our project Solaris. A wide variety of beings spread out over an even greater gallery of lush worlds, barren moonscapes and mind blowing eco systems. Asteroidal mining operations run by unionized goblins, interplanetary federations trying to wrestle autonomy out of the hands of colonies, intergalactic empires conquering entire solar systems and of course the various rebel groups that spring up in their wake.   All these beloved archetypes from the Space Opera genre make up the core of the many stories we want to tell, sprinkled with a hefty dose of Cyberpunk, a dash of Transhumanism and just a little bit of Dystopianism. Our own very real world mirrors itself onto this fantastical and imagined universe, without trying to preach morals or ethics: whether you try to avoid or emulate the pit traps of our real life civilization is entirely up to you as a Player or Game Master. We try to extrapolate both our historical and current situation into infinity, while adding our own flavor and nuance to the results. We hope that by anchoring the Players creative journey in some of the issues we find interesting or important today, we will be able to provide solid plot hooks or ideas for the ever creative Game Master to build upon. With infinite Space comes infinite possibilities, after all!
