Summary: Even as a young Goblin, Grub never had any interest in crime or violence but rather business. Grub spent his childhood teaching himself the ways of business; he read as many books he could get his hands on and tirelessly watched the goings of the Markets. He met and encountered Sultan Amir Rinurge when he was Market watching, the Sultan was coming back from a tryst with his secret lover and was facisnated by this Goblin that was watching the Market but not in a Thieves way. He told Grub to come with him and brought him to the palace where he learned Grub's name and his dream of owning a Market stand. At this time the Master of Trade was one Dragonborn named Allast Crumb and Sultan Amir had known for a while that Allast was crooked and doing illegal deals behind his back. Amir listened to Grub explain all the business practices he had learned from reading and observing and when Amir asked about Crooked Business, Grub's immediate response was that while Crooked Deals could often bring in a larger profit the effort of concealing them and the resources it would take to hide them from the guards would be too much of a financial risk in the long run and would ruin him if he were ever caught. Amir offered Grub the chance of a lifetime, to become Master of Trade. Grub accepted and Amir had Allast thrown in jail where he later died by being assassinated by a Shadowblade for the Truth of the Underworld.
