The winter festival

Create a festival celebrated by one (or more) culture(s) in your world, to kick off a new campaign or story.   There is a saying in Ranculo about the local winters: "The gods suffer the cold for us". That is because ranculo has very warm weather anywhere except for at the tops of mountains. Other than warm rain and a slight decline in tempature, winter is almost unnoticeable.    However, winter is still a special season in Ranculo. The winds are at their strongets at winter, and thus traveling merchants from the Fyardar archipelago arrive special island goods. The trade is so developed in Ranculo that even villages recieve supplies and goods in winter. Every settelment has their festival when they have the means to. The festival represents bounty and riches, and even poor villages have their festival for moral.

History

While trade wasn't developed, villages that weren't sea adjacent couldnt celebrate the festival at winter, and it was named the spring festival. In an attempt to unify the kingdom, queen Suhelya Charlotte Krin, which was a very important character for the development of Ranculo's economy, has decided to rename the festival to the "winter festival" throught the kingdom.
