Silver

The silvers are a race of solid mercury creatures with a shared hivemind. They were originally summoned from beyond the stars thousands of years ago, and whenever they are awake theier presence is very problematic for the world at large. The silvers follow a queen or overlord, and without those monarchs they rampage in swarms wherever they go. They have been extincy multiple times, however wizards and artificers keep on resseructing them for study or to use as weapons.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The silvers, despite their name, are made from solid mercury- making them very cold to the touch. They take on different forms at "birth" (A.K.A when ressurected), and solidify either as other nearby silvers or as entirely new forms.    There have been attempts to create artificial silvers, although Soderhalmian mercury produces lackluster Silvers in comparison to pure ressurection. No queen or overlord have ever been successfully manufactured.

Biological Traits

Extremely cold skin\metal, flexible nature, a magical shared ability, a hivemind

Genetics and Reproduction

With one exception, silvers have shown no ability for reproduction. The only exception are silver queens- they can give birth to silvers at an alarming rate, with no need for a mate or food. They only needed time to regenrate, as they gave birth to silvers from pieces of their own bodies. The last queen was named Amoxti, and she was a queen of one of the most dangerous silver colonies in the history of Soderhalm. She was beaten by Hiemdal the guardian.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The silvers have no need for food, water or sleep. Their only goal is to serve their leader- be it a queen or an overlord.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Any and all silvers serve their leader- the queen or the overlord. The only difference between a queen and an overlord is that a queen can breed, while an overlord cannot.

Domestication

Several attempts have been made to domesticate lonley silvers- to no avail. However most queens and overlords have sentience and could be reasoned with, leading to one of the most terrifying armies in the world should you get on the leader's good side.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Due to their shared hivemind, each silver can telepathically and magically strengthen other nearby silvers with various effects.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

-The ruler of a silver colony names all of their silvers, in names strange to Soderhalm. Some mad researchers named their children after Silvers, gettin gmixed reaction from silver rulers- either extreme affection or a bloody rage.

Gender Ideals

-The concept of genders is foreign to the silvers at large, but some individuals have learned of the concept.
