A world stuck in the industrial era, full of money hungry bureaucrats and corrupt politicians. Ravaged by earlier conflicts, world destroying resource grabbing, and constant disrespect, the world has been separated between mass distances between huge black smoke creating cities and small, interpersonal villages. Smog covers the streets and pollution is a hoax made by the other political party to push their positions. The streets not owned by the filthy rich are stacked to the roof with makeshift houses, packed to the brim with people that can't afford a loaf of bread. If your well off enough, you can be apart of the virtually non-existent middle-class full of Suburban, church-going, middle-management robots.
