Forest of Allurement Geographic Location in Slumbering Gods | World Anvil

Forest of Allurement

The Forest of Illusion is found in the Home of the Gods surrounding a strange lake several, several miles away from the Forest of Summer. This forest is known for its magic and strange laws of physics.

Localized Phenomena

One of the strange phenomena are Sweeping Blossoms. This phenomenon happens during the late spring in small forests of cherry blossom trees. Its blossoms will swirl away from the branches and down to the ground, like pink colored snow. However, there is never any wind when this happens.

The second happens, if someone were to walk through this Forest during one of its perfect summer days, one would feel a slight breeze, and if their ears were well-attuned to nature, they might hear the Whispering WInds. No one is quite sure what the winds are trying to say, and no one is sure where the voices come from. Although this may sound scary, the voices are peaceful and calm. Almost as if wishing the traveler a merry way.

The last common phenomena is a lake found in the center of the woods that freezes over during summer. In the winter, the lake is warm and refreshing. This phenomena is thought to happen because of creatures that may live at the bottom of the lake.

Climate

Throughout the year the Forest of Illusions is found to have the perfect weather. During the spring, it is fairly warm. The flowers are just starting to bloom and the fragrance travels throughout the woods. In the summer, it is rarely ever too hot and there is always a very slight breeze. The Forest has the most glorious colors during autumn with vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. Lastly, during the winter, the Forest never has more than two inches of freshly fallen snow.

Tourism

The Forest of Allurement holds many peaceful afternoons for anyone who wishes to enter. Unlike manke forests this one holds very few dangers. It welcomes any and all people and can tame even the wildest beast.

However, be careful. Anyone who enters, might not ever come out again.
