Starfall's Landing
Geography
A rather small floating island situated in the middle of the Rift, and a small but strangely shaped archipelago that is often in the centre of territory disputes. Below it is a massive sinkhole where water acts kinda weird, not really pouring into it very quickly.
Localized Phenomena
Weather is typically always clear. Fell Stars always land in this place for some reason. The sinkhole below it also is greatly feared by people, since they have no idea where it leads. Anyone that has gone in has never come out.
The water on the surface of the island is infused with Arcane Energy, so it behaves a bit differently water typically found elsewhere. This Arcane-infused water behaves something like a non-newtonian fluid (?). You can stand on it/sit on it/lie down on it and not get wet, but you will still leave ripples on the water as you walk. If you move around a lot, you can create splashes of water as normal. The water in this case will get you wet because it's lost its concentration of Arcane energy since being removed from the main body, so it's back to being pretty much regular water.

Infinite water?
History
The archipelago as well as the island were created 15,000 years ago when the Arcanist first landed in Slaitoraph. Since he is also a Fell Star, he fell here as well. The islands were the result of a massive impact. The floating island used to be just shallow water, but it raised up out of the water because of a massive spike of Arcane energy.
The sinkhole was created under very different circumstances, as its original function was to be a bridge from one world to another. Passing over the boundary between the worlds causes the average mortal to forget. Lethe later on has the ability to negate this for select people. Fell Stars are unaffected by this forgetting.
Tourism
People don't typically have access to this place as it's considered holy grounds, not to mention just plain inaccessible to the average joe.
