The Kingdom of Farin is on the brink of war. Pockets of civil unrest cause the Crown’s Guard to increase their numbers in larger cities. It started when the King married a Pict, a beautiful woman with grace and elegance. The Picts live in the northern part of the continent, and their lands stretch to Farin’s borders. A long time ago, Farin took much of those lands by force. Since the King married, he promised his new queen that he would relinquish northern territory back to it’s original owners. The talks even went so far as assigning Pict leaders to specific regions. Unfortunately, the Queen died of an illness, and all talks of land ownership ceased. The Picts are demanding that the King keep his promise, but their demands fall on deaf ears. Even though the kingdom mourns the loss of their beloved Queen, they are torn on what the King should do.
