Arkansky - The Hidden Wizard City

It is as much myth as reality. A fabled hidden city that disappears when stumbled upon and moves when discovered. A magical place housing Osfilia’s lost wizards, those cast out from the Crystal University. A story told to children for entertainment.   Yet, when adventuring on the eastern plains, some have said to see the city sitting on a distant hill, the crystal from the Spectrum Town throwing a great rainbow across the sky.   At the Crystal University they know the rumors to be true. It was one of their own, a mage named Adalaid, an outcast who centuries ago left the Crystal Council and built a sanctuary for magic users who did not follow the University’s strict codes. Known as Adalaid the Everwise to his student and colleagues, he believed that magic was an art, not a science, and that each individual must discover and explore it in their own way.   Though Adalaid has long been dead, his followers continue his tradition of magical learning. At the city of Arkansky, they welcome those banished from the Crystal University, or those with powers they do not yet understand. Agents of the city roam the lands of Osfilia to seek and recruit such individuals.   And of course there is truth in the myths. Adalaid built the city of Arkansky to be nearly impossible to find, and imbued in it the magic to relocate if needed. He did this by building the Spectrum Tower; a massive white-gold structure at the center of the city, peaked with a crystal larger than those at the University. This crystal changes white light to rainbow, and is the focus for all illusion magic, a specialty of the school. When needed, the inhabitants of the city call upon this crystal to relocate the entire city and those within it, providing them safety and refuge.
