Noble Lady

Lady Ronwen Kels

Lady Ronwen Kels-Cairo is one of many lords of Skeyer, a sociopolitical figure and loose representative of the entrance district. Married rather unhappily to Lord Marxos Cairo, the ruling lord of the sector, she was part of a traditional marriage from her lesser sector in order to gain greater political influence for her family. Marrying to Cairo merely gave the Kels family loose avenues to access privileges to the entrance district and the Essence used in order to control it, but she herself gained no real benefits other than exposure and favor with Cairo's allies. As such, Ronwen worked hard to carefully observe the functions and operations of the sector, and became a well-known advocate of the working class of people in his sector to make sure they were provided for and not being mistreated. That being said, she's always believed in the possibility of Essence causing infertility, and has made it a point in case never to use a Scepter for fear of losing any chance of rooting her family's influence in the Cairo family by rearing an heir.

When the Ekonians arrived, Lady Cairo was eager to greet them and understand their teachings. She was very open-minded to them upon their first arrival, taking the time to travel to their camps and observe them and their lifestyles. She is rather fond of them and finds their knowledge impressive, but has made especially tight bonds with the Ekonian leader, Terryn Sadi. She's taken a great liking to Sadi, favoring her advocacy for women's rights and involvement in politics, as well as sexual freedoms. As such, the two have begun in a rumored affair, and have made all efforts to quell any sign or word of their relationship.
