Mysterious men showed up in my land when I was young and were often overheard in taverns bragging about their battles. One night, on a full moon, I witnessed these men transform into horrendous creatures and attack my home. We slayed all but one, the one who killed my best friend. I decided to leave my home to gain the skills to one day defeat the beast that killed my friend and family and get my revenge. Along the way I came across a group of adventurers who seemed to have some skill in fighting. As it was a group of several races, I decided to follow them to see if they were worthy of my trust. One night in a tavern I approached them, told them I had been following them for days without their notice, and asked if they could use someone like me in their group. Luckily, the big one didn't punch me and the group hesitantly let me join their ranks.
