Blue Fox Pioneers

The Blue Fox Pioneers is an adventuring guild with expeditions focused solely in the Hinterlands. Conveniently headquartered at Nemeaia (aka the "Gates of Hell"), this guild takes contracts from folks everywhere, from the Western Plains to Nu Fraia and beyond.   The Blues promise regular updates to their clients (the organization gets updates from the expedition teams through a device that allows them to communicate wherever they are), as well as a true and honest evaluation of an area, accuracy and integrity in delivery of goods, and a service with a smile. They also offer a no-questions-asked policy for their VIP clients: there is no need for explanations or purpose statements, and the client themselves can speak through a representative.   For these reasons, the Blues are highly favored by wealthy aristocrats, guild merchants, secret organizations as well as private individuals with a dream to find new opportunities in the wild unknown.

Letter from the desk of Avery Red, Head of Relations & Correspondence

In response to a general inquiry asking how one can avail of the Blues' services, the prices, and more, dated D 11, NM 1531.

To Allen Holmquivst,
House No. 24,
Ambervale,
Ortegue

Dear Holmquivst,   First of all, thank you so much for writing in to Blue Fox Pioneers, where the way of the Blue is the way of the True. We are honored to know that you are considering hiring us.   With the new exciting changes in the Nemeaia City leadership, we're proud to announce that our guild has been given a seat at the Roundtable of the Civilized Border Expansion Pact. A select team from our ranks will work with the City and the Pact to help broaden our horizons; within a New Moon year or two, we will have our first branch in a Pact-ruled town in the Hinterlands! All of this, of course, translates to greater service for our clients (like you, we hope!), as we increase our network and improve our resources, all the better to reach unchartered lands on your behalf.   Now, on to your queries. Our process begins with your interest and ends with your satisfaction. We've attached with this letter a few pamphlets that go into greater detail, but I'm summing it up for you here:   First, we will ask you to fill in a proposition, which basically asks your details and determines if you would like a specific expedition, an open expedition, or a secret expedition. We also have what's known as a tag-team, which we'll get to later on.   If you have a specific thing that you're looking for, or you want to explore or find something in a specific area, that is a specific expedition. We will assign our experts in that material or terrain to your expedition, thereby giving it a higher chance of success. This is what our clients go for if they are looking for raw minerals, materials from beasts or precious stones, or want to comb through a riverbed or ruins. Academics, traders, alchemists, druids, casters -- this attracts clients from all walks of life.   An open expedition, on the other hand, is when you tell us that you just want to have a stake or share in whatever resources we come across for a fixed time period. We regularly send out teams to freely explore areas (such as dungeons, forests, spires, ancient ruins, etc.) and come back with resources aplenty. Our clients who opt for this are usually traders and nobles, but really, this can be for anyone, especially a first-timer who doesn't know what to expect.   For our VIP clients, we offer a secret expedition, which is usually a specific expedition, but done in secret. Our fees for this are slightly higher (so we can be sure to maintain secrecy), but this is perfect if you don't want others in the guild or the city knowing what you're looking for. The best part is, only one or two members of the expedition team, who hold leadership positions, will know what the target is. We make sure to maintain exclusivity all the way through, from the moment the team sets out till they deliver the items to you.   When you've decided what you'd want, we draw up a plan and a contract. Our teams will determine the best crew, resources needed, time frame and most efficient route. Then we will create a written document, which you will peruse and sign. You can also have more people involved in the contract, such as family or business partners, who will co-sign it. This will officially kick off our association with you.   Note: We're open to negotiating fees and terms of acquisition and delivery, but please bear in mind that our time frame is set according to our team's best abilities and safety, and cannot be sped up.   Our expeditions can range from seven days to a year; however long it is, we make sure to check in with you with a report every new moon, so you know what's happening.   Of course, you might wonder, how do we know what's going on when our teams are so far away from any means of reporting? But that's where our exclusivity comes in -- we do know. Thanks to a skillful combination of casting and crafting, we have the capability to speak to our team who might be miles and miles away.   And now about the tag-team feature. With exceptions and subject to a detailed proposal, we can take you along with us on our specific or open expeditions. This quite suits clients who are researchers, scribes or cartographers, for the purposes of studying the environment, beasts, resources or natural phenomena. You can either tag along on an expedition paid by another client for a modest fee, or you can pay for your own expedition (in which case you will have to pay the full service amount in advance).   I hope this and the documents attached thus will answer your most pressing questions. If you would like to meet someone in person to discuss your concerns, we have representatives in Stahlia, Yaelworth, Nu Fraia and Sha'Lenor. You can also submit your proposition through these representatives and have all your correspondence through them if you so wish.   We are looking forward to doing business with you!   Yours sincerely,

Avery Red
