Yacorn - WT

Yacorns are immensely strong both physically and magically. They have thick muscular bodies, stout legs and thick necks. They possess a sharp curved horn growing from the front of their forehead. They look like a cross between a woolly rhinoceros and a draft-horse but with cloven hooves and a thickly plumed tail. Their ears are small and thickly-furred and their faces are very long to allow the cold air they breathe to warm up as it enters their body.
They have limited telekinetic powers that have allowed them to use tools and build their own civilisations.
They tend to stick to the icy South but a small number can be found in the North also. They were traditionally regarded as gods and oracles by the Ganix and that old association still leads to interesting relations between the two races.
They have limited powers of foreknowledge and accurate insights into things that have passed. They also see ghosts and can communicate with the souls of the dead.
