Shibanti - WT

Unlike all the other sophont species the Shibanti were created by mortal experimentation rather than by gods.
Because of this they are the youngest sophont species to exist - created far after the legal case that prevented the gods from creating any more species.
Being so new and so unestablished they don’t have any land that primarily belongs to them - either currently or historically. Because of this they have built their civilisation within others.
The Shibanti are diverse in their appearances. They range in height from about waist height on a human to as tall as a double decker bus. They are humanoid but their skin has an interesting range of textures - ridges both hard and jelly-like, lacey veils, holes, bumps, slimy coatings, and so on. They are noted for their large feet and hands and the fact that some of them have as many as eight limbs. They reproduce via broadcast sporing.
As most of them can produce some sort of toxic substance at will - many of which are hallucinogenic they have had some success setting themselves up as the hosts in drug dens. Some of them have also carefully not made a name for themselves as assassins or working with spy organisations.
