Haerns - WT

Haerns are a species of plant people that grew from the spring of tears. The raw emotion of the waters turned the plants that absorbed it sentient - giving them the ability to walk, talk, think and touch as people.
They reproduce by both airborne pollination and asexual budding. Notably however, due to some divine blessing, their offspring will grow with traits that best suit it to the environment it was grown in so over time Haerns have become a very diverse people.
They never need to sleep but often spend time standing, sitting or lying for hours, days or even weeks at a time - thinking slow plants thoughts. They are conscious and aware during this time but their view of the world slows unless danger presents itself.
Their cuisine is especially spectacular - made from different types of earth, fungi, strange meats and insects. True gourmands of other species challenge themselves to dine in their restaurants.
